Create a personal avatar, manage its learning materials, memories, and Waker profile, and configure DingTalk replies through @Waker.
Let your personal avatar learn from the work materials and communication style you choose to share, generating memories and a Waker profile that you can manage. When you want it to reply on your behalf in DingTalk, use @Waker to specify who it can communicate with and the boundaries for its replies.
A personal avatar is an AI Waker modeled on you; it is not you. Creating an avatar and enabling messages on your behalf are separate steps. Completing learning does not automatically send messages to your contacts.
Entry: Waker Management → New Waker → Create Personal Avatar.
After the build completes, open the avatar home page to check its status. Use the sidebar to open Learning Materials, Memories, Contact Network, or Waker Profile. Review the identity information, communication style, and behavioral guidelines in the Waker profile first, then check the memories for accuracy.
In Learning Materials, review the selected materials, upload more files, or click Add Learning Materials to add direct chats, group chats, and meeting notes. Some upload and adjustment actions are temporarily unavailable while a build is in progress. The page shows progress and pending materials. If reading a material category fails, retry that category; successfully read materials are retained.
Automatic Memory Update Settings separately control whether to continue learning from new messages in selected chats and whether to automatically include new chats and meeting notes. You can also exclude chats from automatic updates. Turning off automatic updates retains existing results. When you turn updates back on, only content created afterward is learned; materials from the paused period are not backfilled. Uploaded files must always be added manually.
If the materials do not provide enough information, the home page may prompt you to Answer Three Questions. Answers about how to address you, the communication you want help with, and how you would reply in a specific situation help complete the Waker profile. You can also answer later.
The avatar organizes memories from its learning materials. In Memories, search and filter by source, visibility, and creation date. Open a memory to review its content, source materials, and associated contacts or groups. Edit it, change its visibility, or delete it if it is inaccurate or should no longer be used.
The classification rules entered during creation determine the scope of newly generated memories. Review and adjust existing memories individually in Memories. Do not rely solely on automatic classification to decide whether a memory is suitable for use with others.
Contact Network shows contact and group chat relationships organized from the learned materials. Click a node to view and manually edit labels such as organizational relationships, chat relationships, or responsibilities within a group. These labels help the avatar understand the communication context. For specific events or facts, return to the relevant memory and check the original source.
After creating the avatar, click Configure @Waker on its home page and select the direct chats or group chats where it should reply. In the conversation's @Waker settings, select only the personal avatar as the responding Waker, and review the reply model, file access permissions, and other settings. A personal avatar must respond to a conversation independently and cannot be bound together with other Wakers. Manage memory visibility in the creation wizard and Memories. Verify replies with a small number of contacts before expanding the scope.
After you enable messages on your behalf, the avatar may reply using your identity, and recipients may interpret those messages as your own words. Review important messages and remain personally involved in commitments, sensitive information, and high-risk matters. For more about IM connections and conversation management, see @Waker.
Learning only generates memories and a Waker profile. Select the communication recipients in Configure @Waker, complete the reply settings, and verify with a low-risk message.
Check the reading and build status of each category in Learning Materials. Retry failed items as instructed. If there is not enough material, add more or answer the three questions. Memories and the Waker profile may complete in stages during the build.
No. It stops automatic learning from the corresponding new materials and retains existing memories. To change previously generated content, edit or delete it in Memories.
Use Reset Learning in Learning Materials when you need to regenerate all learning results. Resetting clears existing learning results and returns you to setup. Source configuration, uploaded files, and automatic update settings are retained. Memories that you previously edited or deleted manually may be generated again after learning restarts. Check the impact before resetting.

This release supports authorization through DingTalk DWS only. Other authorization methods are not currently supported.
Before you begin
- Sign in to QoderWake and complete setup on the device that will run your personal avatar. Personal avatars can currently only be configured on the current device.
- To learn from DingTalk direct chats, group chats, or meeting notes, connect and authorize DingTalk (DWS) during creation. You can also create an avatar using only local files, without enabling DingTalk materials.
- Check the materials for personal information, customer information, or sensitive content that should not be used for learning. Chat histories may contain information about other people; select only the scope you need.
Create a personal avatar
Entry: Waker Management → New Waker → Create Personal Avatar.
- Click Create Personal Avatar and read the notices about personal data collection, sending messages on your behalf, and the accuracy of AI replies. Select the acknowledgment that you understand these risks and still want to create an avatar, then click Confirm Creation.
- Under Set Avatar Information, enter a name. To learn from DingTalk materials, turn on Enable DingTalk Materials and follow the instructions to install, sign in to, and authorize DWS. Leave it off if you only want to use files.
- Under Select Initial Learning Materials, select the material types and the specific direct chats, group chats, or meeting notes. The interface shows the available period for the initial selection of DingTalk materials, currently the last 30 days. You can also upload your own files or folders.
- Under Set Memory Visibility, review and adjust the rules for the two memory categories, then select an Avatar Build Model. Click Done to save the configuration.
- In Learning Materials, review the selected materials and automatic update scope, then click Start Building Avatar. Reading materials and generating memories may take some time. If you leave the page, return to the avatar home page to check progress.
