Learn about the QoderWake cloud computer, including its runtime environment, persistence, remote access, pricing, and refunds.
A QoderWake cloud computer is a persistent cloud runtime environment for Wakers. It provides a browser, terminal, file system, desktop controls, and development tools so that Wakers can perform tasks without requiring your local computer to stay online.
After a Waker is linked to a cloud computer, its tasks run on that cloud computer by default. Closing the QoderWake page, disconnecting the remote desktop, or shutting down your local computer does not actively terminate tasks running on the cloud computer.
QoderWake supports running Wakers on either a local computer or a cloud computer. The main differences are:
The cloud computer does not automatically access files, applications, signed-in sessions, VPN connections, or corporate intranet resources on your local computer. To use local files, explicitly upload them through file transfer. To access external services, sign in or grant authorization on the cloud computer.
The cloud computer provides an independent workspace for Wakers. The following remain available after a device reconnects or a Waker restarts:
Wakers can open and interact with web pages, upload or download files, read page content, and retain browser sign-in sessions within the scope of their permissions.
The cloud computer provides a standard shell environment and common development tools. It supports running commands and scripts, installing dependencies, managing processes, and viewing runtime logs.
Wakers can create, read, edit, and manage files in the workspace, and return generated files as task artifacts. The cloud computer also supports file transfers in both directions between the cloud and your local computer.
Wakers can use the screen, mouse, and keyboard to operate desktop applications on the cloud computer, including windows, menus, dialogs, the clipboard, and file pickers.
The cloud computer supports long-running commands, background processes, and scheduled or triggered tasks. You can view task status and history, and pause, resume, or terminate tasks.
You can connect to the cloud computer from:
A cloud computer can be linked to multiple Wakers. The number of tasks that can run simultaneously is limited by the cloud computer's resources and the platform's concurrency policies.
A Waker can be linked to only one type of runtime environment at a time.

To request a refund, send your QoderWake account information and the relevant bills to qoder@service.aliyun.com. Refunds are usually completed within 5–10 business days. Refund eligibility and the amount depend on actual usage and the refund rules applicable at the time.
Cloud computers and local computers
QoderWake supports running Wakers on either a local computer or a cloud computer. The main differences are:
| Local computer | Cloud computer | |
|---|---|---|
| Runtime location | The computer you are currently using | A cloud environment provided by QoderWake |
| Device requirements | Your local computer and the Wake client must stay online | Does not require your local computer to stay online |
| Files and applications | Uses local files, applications, and network resources within the scope of authorization | Uses files, applications, and network resources in the cloud computer |
| Environment state | Depends on the actual state of your local computer | The workspace and runtime state persist in the cloud |
| Remote access | Operate directly on your local computer | View or take control through a remote desktop |
Runtime and persistence
The cloud computer provides an independent workspace for Wakers. The following remain available after a device reconnects or a Waker restarts:
- Project files and task artifacts in the workspace.
- Supported tools that have been installed or configured.
- Supported browser sign-in sessions and cookies.
- Task logs and recoverable background task state.
- Project configuration and caches used by Wakers in that environment.
