Conversation and Input

Voice Input

Use voice input, live voice, and recording notes, and manage their settings.

Qoder provides three voice capabilities: Voice input for transcribing speech into the composer, Live voice for a continuous conversation, and Recording notes for saving a recording and transcript.

Use Voice Input

1

Select an input device

Go to Settings → Voice and select a microphone under General. Automatic follows the current system device.
2

Start speaking

Focus the task composer, then select the microphone button or use the current Voice Input shortcut.
3

Review and send

After recording stops, review the transcript. When Voice recognition polish is enabled, Qoder corrects spoken pauses, repetition, and punctuation.
The settings page also provides Voiceprint recognition, Send automatically for a supported DJI Mic kit, and Common word corrections. Voiceprint recognition uses the beginning of the current recording to reduce surrounding voices; common words improve recognition of names and specialized terms.

Use Live Voice

Select Start Live voice in the composer, or use the shortcut shown under Settings → Voice → Live Voice shortcut. Live voice can continue discussing the current task, with separate controls for playback and the microphone. The Live Voice settings include:
  • Live Voice shortcut.
  • Speaking voice and Speaking rate. New connections use the current selection.
  • Whether saved voiceprint recognition is used for new Live Voice tasks.
  • Whether a reference to screen content can be passed to the Backend Agent for inspection.
Open Settings → Voice to check the voices, shortcuts, and input devices available on this computer.

Recording Notes

Under Settings → Voice → Recording notes, select the maximum duration. Qoder stops automatically at the limit and saves the recording and transcript.
Voice and screen content can enter task context. Before starting, check the microphone, foreground window, and task scope, and avoid passwords, verification codes, or other sensitive information.
