Find, install, create, and use reusable task capabilities.
Skills package instructions and supporting resources for a repeatable kind of work. Use one when you want Qoder to follow a specialized workflow—for example, document processing, code review, or environment cleanup—instead of explaining the same process in every task.
Start a task and describe the result you need. Qoder can select a relevant installed Skill from its description. To choose one explicitly, type
From Extensions → Skills, select Add Skills and choose one of the following:
After installation or import:
Find a Skill
- Select Extensions in the left sidebar.
- Open the Skills tab.
- Browse by category, switch between Popular and Newest, or select Search and enter a keyword.
- Open View details to review the Skill's description and publisher before installation.
- Select Install.
Use a Skill in a task
Start a task and describe the result you need. Qoder can select a relevant installed Skill from its description. To choose one explicitly, type / in the task input and select the Skill from the suggestions before adding the rest of your instruction.
During execution, review requested permissions and the resulting files or external actions. Installing a Skill does not remove the normal access controls for a task.
Create or upload a Skill
From Extensions → Skills, select Add Skills and choose one of the following:
- Create with Qoder: opens a new task that guides you through creating a personalized Skill. The result is kept on this device.
- Upload Skill: imports a Skill ZIP file or a
SKILL.mdfile to this device.
Verify and troubleshoot
After installation or import:
- Confirm that the Skill appears under Installed.
- Type
/in a new task and check that the Skill appears in the suggestion list. - Run a small, low-risk example and verify the output before using it for production work.
