Inspect progress, execution activity, outputs, and sources, and configure task recaps.
Use the task monitor to follow progress, inspect tool activity, and open generated files in one place. When returning to an older task, read its recap to pick up where you left off.
Use the task monitor button in a task to open the panel. Go to Settings → Task Monitor to choose a fixed panel on the right or a floating panel. Fixed mode also supports showing or hiding the panel by default.
Toggle sections individually; settings apply to all tasks. Hiding a section does not stop its subagents or background processes.
Content depends on actual task activity and enabled capabilities. Open entries to inspect files or execution details. A status summary does not replace outputs and validation. See File browsing and editing.
Toggle recaps under Settings → Task Monitor → Task recap and use the adjacent settings control to choose a model. Recaps help you return to the task context.
With your own key or an external model channel, recaps prefer the conversation model. Otherwise, they use the selected model or automatically choose the lowest-priced platform model. Charges follow the model used. Available models depend on the product and account.
