macOS Installation Guide

System requirements, installation, first launch, updates, and removal for Qoder on macOS.

Qoder for macOS is a native desktop application. This guide covers the complete setup flow, from selecting the correct installer to signing in and keeping the application up to date.

System requirements

RequirementMinimum
Operating systemmacOS 14 or later
ProcessorApple silicon or Intel
StorageAt least 500 MB for the application, plus space for project files and task artifacts
NetworkA stable internet connection for sign-in, model calls, updates, and online capabilities
If your Mac runs an earlier version of macOS, update it from System Settings > General > Software Update before installing Qoder.

Install Qoder

1

Download the installer

Open the Qoder download page and download the macOS .dmg that matches your Mac.
The macOS builds provide the same Qoder features but target different processors:
  • ARM64: for Macs with Apple M-series chips.
  • X64: for Intel-based Macs.
To identify your processor, open the Apple menu and select About This Mac.
2

Copy Qoder to Applications

Open the downloaded .dmg, drag Qoder to the Applications folder, wait for the copy to finish, and then eject the disk image in Finder.
3

Launch Qoder for the first time

Open Qoder from Applications, Launchpad, or Spotlight. If macOS blocks the first launch, confirm that you downloaded the package from the official Qoder page, then open System Settings > Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway for Qoder.
4

Sign in and choose a work mode

Follow the sign-in flow shown by the application. After sign-in, select Coding or General, then enter a task in the home-screen composer.

Update Qoder

Qoder checks for updates while it is running. To check manually, open Qoder > Check for Updates. When an update prompt appears, save or finish important work before confirming the download and restart. If your organization manages application versions centrally, follow its software-update policy.

Uninstall Qoder

  1. Quit Qoder.
  2. Open Finder > Applications.
  3. Drag Qoder to the Trash and empty the Trash.
Removing the application does not replace a backup of project files or important task output. Confirm what needs to be retained before uninstalling.
