Choose a Linux package, install and launch Qoder, and learn how to update or uninstall it.
This guide explains how to install Qoder in a Linux desktop environment and choose a package for your distribution and processor architecture.
Check your distribution, operating-system version, and processor architecture in About or System information. You can also run
Open the Qoder download page. In the Qoder desktop application section, select Linux, then choose the package format for your distribution.
Also check the architecture specified for the package. X64, ARM64, and LoongArch packages are not interchangeable; the file extension alone is not enough to choose a package.
For Kylin systems or LoongArch devices, check the specific OS version and architecture requirements. Kylin has versions for different architectures, and LoongArch is not ARM64. If the download page does not offer a package for your device, confirm which package is suitable before proceeding; do not substitute one for another architecture.
Save or complete important tasks and quit Qoder before updating. Download a newer package for the same system and architecture from the official site, then update it with your system's software installer or package manager. On managed devices, follow your administrator's software update policy.
Quit Qoder, find it in your system's software manager, and uninstall it. You can also remove the installed package through your distribution's package manager.
Back up the project files and task outputs you want to keep before uninstalling. Removing the application does not necessarily remove all user data.
Follow the quickstart with a small task whose outcome is easy to verify.
Before you install
Check your distribution, operating-system version, and processor architecture in About or System information. You can also run uname -m in a terminal: x86_64 corresponds to X64, aarch64 to ARM64, and loongarch64 to LoongArch.
Use a package compatible with your architecture and OS version, with the installation permissions required by your system. Allow space for the application, project files, and task outputs, and ensure network access for sign-in and online features.
Choose a package
Open the Qoder download page. In the Qoder desktop application section, select Linux, then choose the package format for your distribution.
| Format | When to choose it |
|---|---|
.deb | For distributions that use DEB packages, such as Debian and Ubuntu. |
